A New Renaissance

A concert of pieces from the 16th and 17th centuries juxtaposed with their 20th and 21st century counterparts with the same text. This is a dazzling display of how famous texts inspire composers - not only in how they are similar, but in the wonderful ways they create new meanings and wonder!

Repertoire will include:

O Nata Lux

  • Thomas Tallis
  • Morten Lauridsen

Ave Maris Stella

  • Giovanni Pierluigi Palestrina
  • Trond Kverno

Ave Maria

  • Tomas de Luis da Victoria

When David Heard

  • Thomas Tomkins
