Steve Schultze - Bass

Steve Schultze Steve Schultze is another member with roots far away from Orange County (and Chapman University). He grew up in a small town called Kearney, Nebraska. Despite its size, Steve still found plenty of opportunities to sing including junior and senior high school choirs, madrigals, swing choir, and the city barbershop chorus. He also had the privilege of attending state honor choir throughout his high school years. Steve also dabbled in theater joining the cast in high school musical productions of "The King and I", "Bye Bye Birdie", and "Sweet Charity". Steve later joined the Kearney Community Theater culminating with a supporting role as Sir Harry in the musical "Once Upon a Mattress". Although Steve studied physics and computer science in college, he continued to develop musically. Throughout college he sang with the Choraleers, a chamber choir, at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. As happens to many, Steve's 25 year career in engineering (mostly with TRW, now Northrop Grumman) left little time for participation in choral music. Fortunately, Steve's church choir director (Linda) convinced him to join the Meistersingers. He has been a member since 2004, and has thoroughly enjoyed the experience. "It's good to be back in the choir!"
